About the author
Ilse De Backer was born in Belgium, where she completed her studies in translation. Her desire to explore led her to travel to Italy twice during her studies, where she lived for about ten months.
In 2004, she moved to Greece, where she still lives with her family. Thankful for the beauty of Greece and her decision to live there, she soon realized that struggles are part of life for everyone. But conquering them is also for everyone. It is not a privilege, it is a choice with love, hope & faith.
